A file failed to process
When a file fails to process
Occasionally a file may fail and appear in your Inbox with an error indicator. Here is what usually causes it and how to fix it.
Common causes
- Corrupted file — the file cannot be opened. Try re-exporting from its original source.
- Unsupported format — check the supported file types list.
- Password-protected PDF — Tuck cannot extract text from encrypted PDFs. Remove the password before uploading.
- File too large — files over 50 MB will fail. Compress or split the file before uploading.
- Temporary error — wait a few minutes and retry.
How to retry
- Go to your Inbox in Tuck
- Find the failed file (red error indicator)
- Click the retry button next to the file
If retrying does not work
Email hello@tuckhq.com with the filename and description of the error. We respond within 48 hours (24 hours for Pro users).
